Role Overview

Handle all field activities including installation, commissioning, repair and reconditioning of water treatment plants and attending to client Service Maintenance Contracts. This includes installation and commissioning of PLC Panels and instruments. This role will interface directly with Customers, Sales and Technical Support team in an effort to manage and resolve various issues and concerns regarding product performance and service improvements.

 

Responsibilities

Annual Maintenance Contracts / After Sales Service 

  • Plan and attend to maintenance calls as per schedules. This includes mobilising resources such as tools, spares, consumables and manpower to complete the site tasks. · Investigate and diagnose faults with plant and equipment.
  • Prepare site visit / service reports.
  • Determine and communicate to the client, the fault diagnosis and remedial repair work necessary. · Estimate and communicate repair time. · Complete repairs and equipment calibration as required. 
  • Assist with commissioning and troubleshooting both locally and overseas. 

Installation and Commissioning

  • Install, troubleshoot and commissioning of water treatment system at sites (including on vessels and offshore). This includes installation, configuration and commissioning of PLC panels.
  • Completion of installation and commissioning within budget and planned time frames. 
  • Ensure compliance to Advanced Watertek and client’s HSE policies and requirements.
  • Complete necessary documentation as per process
  • Provide training to client operators · Handover the system post commissioning to the client representative

Workshop Duties

  • When not visiting client sites, the incumbent will be required to assist on the Production side.
  • Assist in the manufacture and assembly of RO units and component parts
  • Repair RO plant & equipment
  • Recondition RO units and component parts

General 

  • Liaise with clients where necessary to enhance the relationship and build confidence in the products and services provided by the Company.
  • Ensure the highest standards in terms of customer service.
  • Ensure compliance to AWT QHSE standards, policies and procedures
  • Any other reasonable duties assigned by the management 

 

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in water treatment/RO plant installation, commissioning, and maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with PLC panels, instrumentation, and troubleshooting
  • Strong knowledge of RO systems and water treatment processes
  • Ability to read technical drawings and diagnose equipment faults
  • Experience with AMC and after-sales service support
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Customer-focused with the ability to work independently and in teams
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including offshore/international sites
  • Knowledge of HSE standards and compliance with QHSE policies
