Role Overview

The Financial Analyst will provide comprehensive financial analysis, reporting and business partnering support to the Regional Finance Manager across the Middle East region. The role will support regional consolidation, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, working capital, cash flow and operational business partnering, while also providing analytical support for strategic finance projects.

The role will work closely with Finance, Operations, Commercial and Corporate functions to translate financial data into meaningful insights, identify risks and opportunities, and support informed business decisions.

The position will also support the Regional Finance Manager on strategic projects including investments, capital expenditure, ADIO grants, due diligence, financial projections, goodwill and investment impairment assessments, and other corporate initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

1. Regional Reporting & Consolidation

  • Support monthly regional consolidation and management reporting across multiple entities.
  • Prepare and analyze consolidated P&L, balance sheet and cash flow information.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and investigate consolidation differences.
  • Analyze actual results against budget, forecast and prior periods.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packs, KPI analysis and management commentary.
  • Investigate significant variances and provide clear explanations and recommendations.
  • Support Group Finance, audit and year-end reporting requirements.

 

2. FP&A & Financial Analysis

  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting and rolling financial projections.
  • Analyze revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, working capital and cash flow.
  • Develop financial models, forecasts and scenario analysis to support management decisions.
  • Monitor business performance against budgets and forecasts and identify key trends and risks.
  • Prepare financial projections and sensitivity analysis for business planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards, KPIs and analytical tools.

 

3. Business Partnering with Operations

  • Act as a finance business partner to Operations and project teams.
  • Develop a strong understanding of operational and project drivers affecting revenue, costs, margins and cash flow.
  • Work with Operations to analyze project performance, profitability, cost overruns and margin risks.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational decision-making.
  • Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve profitability and financial performance.
  • Support business cases, project evaluations and commercial decisions.

 

4. Working Capital & Cash Flow

  • Monitor and analyze key working capital metrics including DSO, DPO, inventory and overdue receivables.
  • Support regional cash flow forecasting and liquidity analysis.
  • Identify working capital risks and opportunities and work with Operations and Commercial teams on improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze cash conversion and project-related cash flow requirements.

 

5. Strategic Finance & Special Projects

Provide analytical and financial support to the Regional Finance Manager on regional and corporate strategic initiatives, including:

  • Investment and capital expenditure analysis.
  • New business, expansion and manufacturing investment projects.
  • Preparation of business cases, financial models and investment projections.
  • ADIO grant-related activities, including claims tracking, reporting, reconciliations, eligible expenditure analysis and audit/AUP support.
  • Financial due diligence for potential investments, acquisitions, partnerships and other strategic transactions.
  • Analysis of historical financial performance, working capital, cash flow and key financial risks as part of due diligence.
  • Goodwill and investment impairment assessments, including financial projections, cash flow forecasts, valuation assumptions and sensitivity analysis.
  • Support for investment valuation and financial modelling.
  • Scenario analysis for strategic decisions, funding requirements and major investments.
  • Other regional transformation, finance and ad hoc projects.

 

6. Regional Finance Team Support & Ad Hoc Activities

  • Provide support to the Regional Finance Team on additional activities and priorities as required from time to time.
  • Provide temporary coverage or assistance for key finance activities when team members are on annual leave, sick leave or otherwise unavailable, helping to ensure continuity of critical regional finance processes.
  • Assist Finance Managers and team members with reporting, analysis, reconciliations and other finance deliverables during peak periods.
  • Support urgent or time-sensitive regional finance requirements as directed by the Regional Finance Manager.
  • Undertake ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, projects and other assignments that may arise based on business requirements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in supporting changing priorities while maintaining appropriate focus on core responsibilities.

 

7. Process Improvement & Reporting Automation

  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, accuracy and automation of regional reporting.
  • Develop and enhance Excel-based financial models, dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Support improvements to SAP and other ERP/reporting systems.
  • Improve data quality, reporting consistency and standardization across entities.
  • Automate recurring analysis and reporting where practical.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA or CIMA is an advantage.
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A, management reporting, commercial finance or audit.
  • Experience working with multiple entities or regional operations is preferred.
  • Experience in project-based, engineering, manufacturing, technology, infrastructure or similar industries is advantageous.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or other ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
