Role overview :

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instrumentation and Automation Engineer to join our Global Engineering Centre team to execute International and Local projects in India. The ideal candidate will have less than or equal to 10 years of relevant experience, with a preference for those who have worked in an EPC environment,and with international project experience. 

 

Responsibilities :

 

  • Prepare, check, and issue engineering deliverables including Instrument Schedule/Index, I/O lists, Cable Schedules, Block Diagrams, JB Interconnection Drawings, Hook-up Drawings, System Architecture Diagrams, and Bulk Material Take-offs.

  • Review layouts and drawings: Control Room, Cable Tray, Instrument & JB Location, DCS, SIS, BMS systems, Loop Diagrams, and Installation Drawings.

  • Develop instrument datasheets for control valves, on-off valves, PSVs, analyzers, transmitters (level, flow, temperature, pressure), and gauges.

  • Demonstrate expertise in flow instruments such as Orifice, Magnetic, Paddle, Ultrasonic, Turbine, and Vortex flow meters.

  • Manage procurement engineering cycle: datasheet preparation, RFQ, technical queries, TBE, and vendor document review.

  • Review mechanical packages including static and rotating equipment.

  • Conduct reviews of P&IDs, Cause & Effect Matrices, and Control Philosophies.

  • Perform interdisciplinary checks with process, mechanical, piping, and civil/structural teams.

  • Provide design and technical support for hardware, software, instrumentation, and control elements within PLC systems.

  • Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute projects within schedule and budget.

  • Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and progress assessments.

  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and best practices; conduct quality control reviews to verify design integrity and safety.

 

Requirements :

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Instrumentation, or Instrumentation Engineering.

  • 3–10 years of experience in water projects, chemical processing, power plants, pharmaceuticals, food industry, and/or oil & gas projects.

  • Knowledge of WTP/STP/WWTP/ETP/UPW projects is an added advantage.

  • Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation systems, procurement processes, and interdisciplinary coordination.

  • Proficiency in reviewing 2D drawings and 3D models (Navisworks).

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
