Responsibilities :

1. Plant Operations Management

• Ensure uninterrupted operation of WTP, STP, ETP, RO Plant, UF Plant, UPW,  ZLD and associated utilities.
• Monitor treatment process performance and optimize plant efficiency.
• Ensure treated water quality consistently meets contract and statutory requirements.
• Oversee shift operations and maintain required staffing levels.

2. Maintenance Management

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure maximum availability of pumps, blowers, motors, compressors, valves, and instrumentation.
• Monitor equipment health and implement condition monitoring programs.
• Maintain critical spares inventory and coordinate procurement.

3. Water Quality & Process Control

• Monitor key parameters including: pH, Turbidity, TSS, TDS, COD, BOD, Residual Chlorine, DO, ORP
• Analyze laboratory reports and initiate corrective actions.
• Optimize chemical dosing and treatment efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with PCB/CPCB/SPCB norms.

4. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Ensure implementation of safety procedures and permit systems.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety training.
• Monitor confined space entry, chemical handling, electrical safety, and work-at-height activities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

5. Asset Management

• Develop long-term asset maintenance strategies.
• Track equipment reliability and lifecycle costs.
• Coordinate major overhauls and shutdown activities.
• Maintain asset registers and maintenance history records.

6. Team Management

• Lead engineers, supervisors, operators, electricians, instrument technicians, and mechanical technicians.
• Prepare duty rosters and shift schedules.
• Conduct performance reviews and competency assessments.
• Identify training needs and skill development programs.

7. Client Coordination

• Act as the primary interface with the client.
• Attend review meetings and technical discussions.
• Address client concerns and operational issues.
• Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.

8. Cost Control & Budget Management

• Monitor O&M budgets and expenditures.
• Optimize manpower, energy, chemicals, and consumables.
• Track plant operating costs.
• Identify energy-saving and cost-reduction opportunities.

9. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare: Daily Operation Reports (DOR), Monthly O&M Reports, Water Quality Reports, MIS Reports, Breakdown Reports, Safety Reports
• Maintain statutory records and audit documentation.

10. Regulatory & Contract Compliance

• Ensure compliance with: Pollution Control Board requirements, Environmental regulations, Contract specifications, ISO requirements, Safety standards
• Support internal and external audits.

Requirements :

• B.E./B.Tech in Chemical / Environmental / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation
• 5–12 years in O&M of ETP/STP/WTP/RO/ZLD systems
• Exposure to industrial operations (Pharma, Semiconductor, Chemical, Power)

• Strong knowledge of Biological & physico-chemical treatment, Membrane systems and ZLD processes, Process troubleshooting, performance optimization, Water & Wastewater Treatment Processes, Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation & PLC/SCADA, Contract Management, HSE Management, Leadership & Team Building, Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis, Budgeting & Cost Control, Regulatory Compliance
