Role Overview:
Seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager, Mechanical to join our engineering team. This role will focus on engineering execution for global water and wastewater treatment projects, working closely with the Project Engineering Manager and leading mechanical engineering activities across all project phases.
Responsbilities :

Lead mechanical engineering execution for water and wastewater treatment projects.

Apply procedures and protocols to enhance quality, efficiency, and repeatability of engineering activities.

Ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately, on schedule, and within budget.

Support preparation of P&IDs based on customer requirements.

Supervise and review basic and detailed engineering designs in alignment with customer and multidisciplinary requirements.

Provide design and technical support for all mechanical elements as part of integrated systems.

Confirm compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements, including submission to relevant authorities (e.g., PE approval for tanks and vessels).

Coordinate with process, civil, structural, piping, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure seamless integration.

Oversee vendor quotation reviews, vendor selection, and evaluation of mechanical equipment lists, datasheets, line lists, valve lists, and drawings.

Review fabrication drawings prepared by internal engineers and vendors.

Demonstrate familiarity with engineering requirements for tanks, vessels, pumps, blowers, heat exchangers, mixers, and package equipment (RO, UF, clarifiers, filter press, centrifuge, crystallizer, chemical dosing systems, etc.).

Support FAT activities and collaborate with QA/QC and construction teams.

Liaise with clients on technical aspects, providing justifications for design decisions.

Lead internal and external design reviews and provide support during commissioning.
Requirements :
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

3 to 7 years experience in mechanical engineering for water/wastewater treatment or similar process industries.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and package integration.

Experience in vendor management and technical reviews.

Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate across disciplines.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance and authority submissions.
