Role Overview :
The BIM Manager will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, specifically using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and BIM360 for process plant construction. This role requires a strong focus on mechanical systems, interdisciplinary coordination, and team leadership to ensure all project models and associated information are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
Responsibilities :
- BIM Administration: Manage the setup, configuration, and maintenance of BIM360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for process plant projects, ensuring secure and effective data management and integration.
- Workflow Implementation: Implement and manage BIM processes within the construction workflow, with a strong emphasis on mechanical systems and components, ensuring high-quality, fabrication-ready models.
- Model Maintenance: Maintain, update, and manage models in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan, ensuring that all models accurately reflect the design, engineering, and operational requirements of the process plant.
- Quality Control (QC): Conduct periodic and rigorous quality control checks on all models and associated documents to ensure accuracy, clash resolution, and compliance with project specifications.
- Schedule & Team Management: Closely monitor the BIM schedule, managing the BIM team (modelers, coordinators) to ensure timely delivery of all BIM deliverables. Proactively address issues or delays to keep projects on track.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide in-house training and support to engineers, designers, and modelers on BIM best practices, particularly within the context of process plants, to foster effective collaboration and high-quality outputs.
- Coordination & Communication: Act as a key liaison, coordinating with internal teams—including project management, design, engineering, and international teams—to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution.
- Best Practices & Optimization: Utilize and promote best practices in BIM software, with a particular focus on Autodesk Revit, to streamline workflows and enhance project outcomes.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- 7+ years of experience in BIM management, specifically within process plants or large-scale industrial projects.
- Proven expertise in Autodesk Revit, BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and Employer Information Requirements (EIR).
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with local and international teams.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing, training, and mentoring BIM teams.
