POSITION SUMMARY
The GRN Specialist – Global Operations is responsible for managing and overseeing the Goods Receipt Note (GRN) processing for global projects. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in GRN operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as procurement, finance, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GRN processes within ERP systems (SAP) and experience supporting large-scale, multinational operations.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Accurately process GRNs for global projects, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and contract terms.
- Monitor and manage the GRN workflow in the ERP system (SAP) to avoid bottlenecks and delays.
- Verify received goods and services against purchase orders (POs) and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Coordinate with procurement teams, project managers, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods and services.
- Act as the point of contact for GRN-related queries from regional teams and global stakeholders.
- Identify and implement improvements in the GRN process to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for GRN operations across global projects.
- Ensure all GRN transactions comply with organizational policies, audit standards, and global regulations.
- Generate periodic reports on GRN performance metrics, including backlog, discrepancies, and compliance trends.
- Ensure that all documents are current, accurately categorized, and easily accessible.
POSITION REQUIRMENTS
- FORMAL EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Supply Chain Management / SAP are an advantage
- KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in GRN processing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a strong background in using SAP
- Proficiency in SAP, particularly in modules related to procurement and inventory management.
- Experience in the EPCM or similar project-based industries is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Procurement & Logistics principles and practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with global teams.
- Ability to manage high-volume GRN processing while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for reporting and analysis.
3. TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in SAP MM Module
- Knowledge & experience in SAP Project Systems & FICO module
- Data management & Analysis tool
- Excellent MS Office skills (especially MS Excel)
