Role Overview
Seeking an experienced and dynamic Residential Construction Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of site construction activities. This role requires a strong leader who can manage teams, coordinate with clients, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Act as Site In-charge, heading all construction activities at the site.
- Lead and manage the entire construction team to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Coordinate with clients daily to maintain progress and address concerns.
- Review and understand contract documentation thoroughly.
- Serve as the interface between the site team and Head Office for day-to-day operations.
- Ensure strict implementation of all safety compliances.
- Manage contract closures and oversee final reconciliation of contractor bills, client bills, and materials.
- Identify and circulate excess materials to Head Office.
- Maintain site assets regularly (quarterly checks).
- Ensure proper storage and issue of materials.
- Prepare work schedules and circulate Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Weekly Progress Reports (WPR), and Monthly Progress Reports (MPR).
- Handle individual construction disciplines comprehensively.
- Fulfill HR and statutory compliances as per client requirements/regulations.
- Certify construction bills and follow up on client payments.
- Conduct weekly review meetings with contractors and evaluate their performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in residential construction management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent client communication and coordination abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of contract documentation and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively and according to labor and safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
