Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor for water and waste water treatment projects. Quantity Surveyor to support cost control and measurement for works on water & wastewater treatment projects. The role includes quantity take-off for tender / projects, site measurement, progress valuations, Payment verification/ follow up, variation costing and assisting tender / project execution team.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management & Estimation
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for projects.
- Conduct cost planning, feasibility studies, and budget forecasting.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Perform cost value reconciliation (CVR) and cash flow forecasting.
Contract Administration
- Administer contracts in accordance with NEC, FIDIC, or other applicable forms.
- Manage subcontract procurement, negotiation, and appointment.
- Assess and process interim valuations and payment certificates.
- Evaluate variations, claims, and change orders.
- Support dispute resolution and risk mitigation processes.
Commercial Reporting
- Prepare monthly cost reports and financial summaries for senior management.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities across projects.
- Maintain accurate cost records and documentation for audit purposes.
Project Collaboration
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams.
- Participate in site visits to assess progress and verify completed works.
- Support value engineering initiatives to improve cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within water treatment, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience working with NEC, FIDIC, or similar contract forms.
- Experience in EPC or design-build project environments.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Membership or working toward chartership (e.g., RICS or equivalent professional body) (Desirable)
