Role Overview

The Chemical Sales Engineer / Account Manager will be responsible for supporting sales growth and customer engagement for specialty and commodity water treatment chemicals across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role involves a combination of technical sales, customer relationship management, and business development, working closely with internal technical teams and the regional sales leadership. As operations in KSA are in the early stage, the candidate is expected to work independently, supporting both commercial and coordination activities required to establish and grow the business.

 

Responsibilities

1. Customer Relationship Management

  • Support development and maintenance of relationships with customers across industrial sectors.
  • Engage with operations, maintenance, and procurement teams to understand customer requirements.
  • Conduct regular customer visits across KSA.

2. Technical Sales Support

  • Assist in promoting water treatment chemical programs for:
    • Cooling water
    • Boiler systems
    • RO and wastewater applications
  • Coordinate with internal technical teams to support solution proposals.
  • Participate in technical discussions and product presentations.

3. Business Development Support

  • Identify new business opportunities within existing and potential customers.
  • Support expansion of product applications within customer facilities.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and follow-ups.

4. Market Coverage

  • Support sales activities across key industries including:
    • Oil & Gas
    • Petrochemicals
    • Power and utilities
    • Water and wastewater sectors
  • Build basic understanding of customer processes and treatment requirements.

5. Channel & Partner Coordination

  • Work with appointed distributors and channel partners to support business growth.
  • Participate in joint customer visits and technical discussions.
  • Support partner engagement activities as required.

6. Internal Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal teams including:
    • Technical support
    • Supply chain
    • Finance
  • Assist in order processing, follow-ups, and basic reporting.

7. Travel & Field Engagement

  • Travel extensively across KSA to support customer engagement and sales activities.
  • Maintain active field presence to support business growth.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (Mandatory)
  • 4–7 years of experience in industrial chemical sales or water treatment
  • Experience in KSA market preferred
  • Exposure to specialty and/or commodity chemicals
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (Mandatory)
  • Willingness to travel extensively across KSA
