Role Overview :
Seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piping design for water treatment plants, with expertise in both conceptual and detailed design. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, knowledge of international piping codes, and the ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines to deliver high-quality, clash-free designs.
Responsibilities :

Develop conceptual and detailed design drawings for water treatment plant piping.

Specify piping, valves, instruments, vessels, and other mechanical equipment.

Create piping routing in AutoCAD Plant 3D based on P&IDs, optimizing skid and plant piping layouts.

Build and maintain 3D models, ensuring clash-free integration with other disciplines.

Prepare equipment layouts, skid piping GA, 2D piping layouts, isometrics, MTOs, pipe support drawings, and pipe rack design inputs.

Review civil and vendor drawings for compliance and accuracy.

Apply ANSI, IS, ASME, DIN, and BS piping standards to all designs.

Confirm compliance with customer specifications for equipment and materials.

Review and approve 3D models, drawings, and documents from third-party design companies.

Ensure engineering and design quality, technical accuracy, and material quantity validation.

Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, vendors, and clients to achieve project goals.

Collaborate with the Mechanical Design Manager to plan and execute projects on schedule and within budgeted manhours.

Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and progress assessments.

Conduct quality control reviews to verify design integrity, safety, and compliance with industry best practices.
Requirements :

3 to 7 years experience in piping design for water treatment plants.

Strong knowledge of piping design standards (ANSI, IS, ASME, DIN, BS).

Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D and related design tools.

Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and clients.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to manage projects within time and budget constraints.
