Role Overview
Gradiant is recruiting a Senior Sales Manager for the North Asia (South Korea) Industrial markets. In this role, the candidate will report to the Regional Managing Director (North Asia & Greater China). The candidate will support the Managing Director by developing and executing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and leading the sales team focused on clients in industrial markets, such as Semiconductors, Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing, Food & Beverage, and Mining.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organization's sales strategy for the industrial markets, aligning it with overall business goals and objectives.
- Manage and develop key accounts in respective region.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
- Set clear sales targets and objectives, and create comprehensive sales plans to achieve them.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the sales department.
- Oversee and optimize the entire sales process, from lead generation and qualification to contract negotiation and deal closure.
- Ensure sales proposals and quotations align with client needs and budgets.
- Utilize market insights to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Foster strong relationships with key industry players and decision-makers.
- Skillfully negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progression.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to senior management.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering with at least 8 years of business development, sales and marketing experience.
- 10+ years of sales experience within the industrial water treatment sector, with at least 3 years of experience leading sales teams
- Experience in chemical / oil and gas / microelectronics industries.
- Knowledge in environmental services / waste management is a plus.
- Proven track record of generating new business and rapid revenue growth.
- Proven leadership qualities with the ability to drive sales team performance
- Excellent value selling and negotiation skills.
- Ability to present to diverse audiences from senior executives to field decision makers
- Strong leadership and cross-functional team management capabilities
- Ability to travel (40-50%) to meet with partners and clients as well as attend industry events
- The role will be managed through a third-party vendor for the administration of employee payroll and benefits
