Role Overview

The Senior Procurement and Logistics Executive – is responsible for managing strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, and supply chain operations for water and wastewater treatment projects and operations. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Must have a highly analytical and technical mind as well as a strong business acumen directed toward a commitment to optimization and efficiency.

 

Responsibilities

In Collaboration and alignment with Engineering, Project Management and Finance

  • Support Project Management with planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, spending and savings forecasts.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, QA/QC, HSE, finance, and project management teams.
  • Prepare procurement plans, logistics schedules, and performance reports for senior management.
  • Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, warranties, service agreements, and long-term supply arrangements.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor global and local markets for raw materials and equipments.
  • Draft and maintain vendor subcontract agreement templates and MSA’s
  • Facilitate and adhere to established Procurement policies and “Best practices”
  • Be an active member of the Safety Committee and promote health and safety by personal example. Be familiar with the general principles and concepts of health and safety management and applicable OSHA standards and company policies
  • Track procurement and logistics KPIs, budgets, and cost-saving achievements.
  • Support audits and ensure full traceability of equipments and suppliers.
  • Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics for water treatment plants, EPC projects, and O&M contracts.
  • Coordinate transportation, customs clearance, and import/export activities.
  • Oversee warehousing, inventory storage, and handling of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites and operational plants to avoid downtime.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Engineering discipline or Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years’ experience in Procurement and Logistics operations.
  • Experience with material planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic.
  • Thorough understanding of Procurement and Subcontracts concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations.
  • Wastewater, Chemical Processing and/or Oil/Gas systems experience preferred.
  • Experience with International land, air and ocean transit logistics as well as Customs documentation management
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain management tools.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling, storage, and regulatory compliance.
  • Analytical and cost-control experience.
