In collaboration and alignment with Corporate Engineering, Project Management and Finance:
This Role is responsible for the Vendor Qualification Subsequent to RFQ shortlisting. with an emphasis on technical and process audits of the suppliers to drive efficiency and minimize cost of organization's Procurement efforts. Manages and monitors vendor's qualification and performance to ensure they meet company's requirements. Must have a highly analytical and technical mind as well as a compliance acumen for various Quality systems directed toward a commitment to optimization and efficiency.
Responsibilities :
- Ability to Develop and implement vendor audits to establish capability and capacity as per Gradiant’s Requirements with an emphasis on developing a favorable preferred and standardized vendor pool.
- Proactively and continuously seek to locate and vet integration and fabrication vendor resources both domestically and internationally.
- Supports Price negotiation thru’ value addition in process audit capability
- Review and audit vendors for compliance for Contract agreement and MSA’s
- Facilitate and adhere to established Procurement policies and “Best practices”
- Be an active member of the Safety Committee and promote health and safety by personal example. Be familiar with the general principles and concepts of health and safety management and applicable OSHA standards and company policies
- Participate with Procurement team for planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, spending and savings forecasts.
- Minimize risk and identify contingencies regarding quality and financial exposure in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines and strategy.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Engineering discipline or demonstrated commensurate in Supplier Quality Audit function.
- 6-8 years’ experience in Quality, Supplier audits and Procurement / Procurement support function in a large projects organization.
- Experience with Online Quality Reporting Systems and material planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic.
- Thorough understanding of Procurement and Subcontracts concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations.
- Wastewater, Chemical Processing and/or Oil/Gas systems experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a high energy, start-up based environment and multi-tasking.
- Strong communication skills to convey ideas and technical information effectively within team and to customers.
- Curiosity and strong drive to improve status-quo while working in a semi-autonomous environment.
- Pays attention to detail, identifies & solves complex issues, shares suggestions to improve quality & productivity.
- Works independently with minimal supervision.
